  1. Do you think it alarming that the test blithely elides "Jane" from your "name"? Some people may not think the loss of a middle name is a big deal, but just think of a few people whose names can't withstand the loss of the middle name/initial: Susan B. Anthony, Gordon B. Hinckley, John F. Kennedy, Ford Madox Ford, George Washington Carver, J.R.R. Tolkein (double points for him), C.S. Lewis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cecil B. DeMille, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Marie Antoinette (note how the middle name here is even more important than her last name, which was von Habsburg-Lothringen and--assuming French royals took the name of their husbands--became de Bourbon), and of course, yours truly: Jack Jason.

  3. [Sidenote: For those of you techie friends who might feel prone to mock a commenter who accidentally posted the same comment twice and couldn't figure out how to retract (e.g., moi), let me just point out that this is the very first blog comment I have ever posted, and the loss of my blogging virginity has had precisely the sort of demoralizing effect that I had been warned about for so long (or was that only supposed to apply to the other kind of virginity? Curse those imprecise sunday school lessons!)]
